PEP-Tz is a dual glucose-dependent insulinotropic polypeptide (GIP) and glucagon-like peptide-1 (GLP-1) receptor agonist studied for its effects on metabolic signaling, glucose regulation, insulin sensitivity, appetite and satiety pathways, lipid metabolism, and body-weight regulation.
Its combined activity across the GIP and GLP-1 receptor pathways makes PEP-Tz of particular research interest for investigating the biological mechanisms involved in energy balance, nutrient metabolism, glycemic regulation, and metabolic function.
