Glutathione is a naturally occurring tripeptide composed of glutamate, cysteine, and glycine. It is one of the body's primary endogenous antioxidants and is widely studied for its role in cellular defense against oxidative stress, redox balance, detoxification pathways, immune function, mitochondrial health, and protection of cellular components from oxidative damage.
