ARA-290

📝 LAB NOTES

ARA-290, also known as cibinetide, is an 11-amino-acid synthetic peptide derived from the structure of erythropoietin (EPO). It is studied for its selective interaction with the innate repair receptor (IRR) and its potential role in tissue protection, inflammation-related signaling, nerve repair, cellular recovery, and regenerative biological processes.

Unlike erythropoietin, ARA-290 was designed to investigate tissue-protective and repair-related pathways without stimulating red blood cell production. Research has particularly explored its activity in small nerve fibers, peripheral neuropathy models, inflammatory pathways, metabolic function, and cellular responses to tissue injury.
